Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd

[1] The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

[2] He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

[3] he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

[4] Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

[5] You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

[6] Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (ESV)

Psalm 57:1–5

[1] Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.

[2] I cry out to God Most High, to God, who vindicates me.

[3] He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me—God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.

[4] I am in the midst of lions; I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts— men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

[5] Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. (ESV)

Prayer of Confession

Almighty and most merciful Father, we have strayed from your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the desires of our own hearts. We have offended against your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; and we have done those things which we ought not to have done. O Lord, have mercy on us! Spare those who confess their faults. Restore those who are penitent, according to your promises declared to us in Christ Jesus our Lord. And for his sake, O merciful Father, grant that we may hereafter live a godly and righteous life, to the glory of your holy Name. Amen.

Resources for Parents

In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, we have suspended our Sunday morning Kids Ministry. However, we recognize that discipleship doesn't take a break and parents still need resources and encouragement as they train up their children in the LORD. To that end, every week, our Kids Ministry Director, Krysta Kogut, will be recording and sharing short devotionals for Coram Deo's kids. The videos will be posted on Tuesdays at 10 am, but you can watch them at any time. Make sure you have paper and pencils or crayons ready so you can participate!
