Scripture

Exodus 36:1–7

[1] “Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whom the LORD has put skill and intelligence to know how to do any work in the construction of the sanctuary shall work in accordance with all that the LORD has commanded.”

[2] And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whose mind the LORD had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to do the work. [3] And they received from Moses all the contribution that the people of Israel had brought for doing the work on the sanctuary. They still kept bringing him freewill offerings every morning, [4] so that all the craftsmen who were doing every sort of task on the sanctuary came, each from the task that he was doing, [5] and said to Moses, “The people bring much more than enough for doing the work that the LORD has commanded us to do.” [6] So Moses gave command, and word was proclaimed throughout the camp, “Let no man or woman do anything more for the contribution for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing, [7] for the material they had was sufficient to do all the work, and more. Call to Worship

Psalm 82:3–4, 8

[3] Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;
maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
[4] Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
[8] Arise, O God, judge the earth;
for you shall inherit all the nations! (ESV)

Prayer of Repentance

Father, though we profess to know you, we have denied you by our works. We have named the name of Christ, but have not departed from iniquity. Remember us, O LORD, with the favor you show to your people, and help us with your salvation. Let sin have no dominion over us, since we are not under law but under grace. Amen.

Benediction

May the Lord , who prepares His people put skill and readiness in your hearts for the work He has set before you. May He stir your hearts to freewill offerings of joyful and sacrificial generosity, flowing from gratitude for His great redemption. May the Lord who provides for His people also provide through you, so that the material is sufficient to do all the work as you steward the legacy of generosity. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
