The Ten Commandments

Exodus 20:8–11

[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9] Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, [10] but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. [11] For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Call to Worship

Psalm 106:1–3

Give Thanks to the LORD, for He Is Good

[1] Praise the LORD!
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
[2] Who can utter the mighty deeds of the LORD,
or declare all his praise?
[3] Blessed are they who observe justice,
who do righteousness at all times!

Psalm 106:48

[48] Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting!
And let all the people say, “Amen!”
Praise the LORD!

Prayer of Repentance

Heavenly Father, You are a God who keeps His promises. Forgive us for our sins. Give us understanding that we may delight in Your word and observe it with our whole heart. Turn away our eyes from looking at worthless things, and in Your righteousness, give us life in Your ways. Amen

Benediction

The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face to shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you
and give you peace.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen!
